Background Information:
Two amendments to the 2009 – 2010 fiscal year budget are presented for the Board’s consideration.
- General Purpose School Fund – $42,796 to account for additional grant funds awarded for the Adult Education program to establish a GED Preparation for Youth Program. These grant funds were awarded for the purpose of paying hourly employees’ salaries, including benefits and taxes, purchasing additional instructional supplies and materials, and providing additional support to provide services to out-of-school youth in Obion and Lake Counties.
- General Purpose School Fund – $1,500 to account for a contribution to the Adult Education program from The Kohler Company. These funds will purchase additional instructional supplies and materials to supplement services to the adult population of Obion County.
Staff Recommendation:
I recommend approval of the amendments to the 2009 – 2010 fiscal year budget for the General Purpose School Fund.
